hi, as some of you know i bought a second hand arrow expansion chamber for the mx as a mini project well its come today but i forgot how thin they were does any know if they can be welded? if so is there a certain welder for the job? also would there be any other way of repairing the few smll holes in it. thanks

its thin, but still normal steel, easily weldable, esp if you just plate it

cheers for that, iv cleaned it all up which has bought a few new holes to light, no biggie though. should have it back saturday and sprayed up on sunday.

if you couldn't weld it, you could of used chemical metal and riveted a plate over it, just had to do that with my mums dna exhaust

my arrow chamber blew a few months ago and i got my uncle to weld it up together, i wire brush drilled the rust off and sprayed it with black bbq paint, looks lovely!

i got brand new arrow same shape as this one :P any ideas how to keep them from rusting fast like to look after them as best as you can?

oil them after every run, or blast it down to the bare metal and high temp paint it

get them blasted so all the rust is gone, then layers and layers of vht paint

oil them with what??? i dont want to paint it love the colour it is atm just want to keep on top of it turtle wax be gd? wd40? i know a mate said autosol or sumut

ive heard people just rub them down after a run with whatever really, such as car gear oil, anything like that. never tried that myself, im just gonna blast n paint mine

i always used wd40 after most rides, especially when it was wet and mine never rusted at all, and kept the ace colour and the welds etc.
